The family-friendly fun begins Thursday, Feb 20, 2020 at 6 pm with the Courir de Mardi Gras Parade. No entry fee, public welcome, just get the entry form at mardigrastx.com.
Cajun music, fun and colorful costumed horseback riders, wagons, buggies and more. Chase the chickens, catch a greased pig while enjoying a traditional gumbo tasting (served until gone) or visiting a variety of Cajun food from vendors at the festival.
All attention is on the chicken and the pig, it’s a thrill to watch costumed revelers of all ages chase after that friendly animals. Each Courir de Mardi Gras is special in its own way, so get ready, enjoy the chase ……
